WHAT A DIFFERENCE A YEAR MAKES

Up and out on this morning to greet both g-daughters as everything gets back on regular schedules.
I did chores then took RL to preschool which she was looking forward to today after missing yesterday.
I came home had breakfast then spent the morning cleaning house.
Hubbie and IR went back to pick up RL with me so he could sit with them while I went into Ingles and picked up a few things I needed for baking and some Boars Head sandwich meat and cheese.
As soon as we got home both girls woke up as usual and RL woke with a nose bleed. This is her first nose bleed and I suppose it is the cold windy weather that caused it. It wasn't bad and we got it stopped pretty quickly. My #2 son had nose bleeds often so it didn't scare me when this happened. I told her mom and she said she used to have nose bleeds as a child also.
After we all had our lunch the girls settled in for a play day afternoon while the cold wind blew outside.
Pretty soon these two heads put together will probably mean trouble !!!!!  But today it was just sweetness from RL giving kisses to her younger cousin.

RL went missing this afternoon and we found her under the tree just staring up at the lights and she stayed very still like this for a long time !!!!  Tell me there isn't magic in the Christmas season !!!
I can't help but marvel at the difference a year makes !!!!
I took this last year of g-daughter RL on this same date .

And this is the photo I took today of RL as she took a little horn ornament off the tree to blow in it.
#1 son came by today to line up hubbie to help him move this week . He and Tif are renting an apartment just out the road while they search for a new home. He is supposed to close on his house this Monday.
Daughter brought more storage bins to put in our storage shed today as she and son-in-love also slowly start their packing for their sale in January. They have found a small house in town to rent while they search for their new home.
She is enjoying g-daughter IR's first Christmas before she kicks packing into high gear after Christmas. This is a pic she sent me tonight of IR in her Santa suit under their tree.

And talking about how much difference a year makes, this one will be pulling ornaments off the trees next year !!!
It is the coldest night of the season so far tonight with 25 mph wind and temps in the mid teens putting chill factors in dangerous near 0 levels.  This winter (well it's really not even winter yet) but this December has really started off wintry with snow at some point in the first 10 days of this month in all 50 states of the USA.

We should have built a fire in our upstairs wood stove along with the downstairs one but with the cold lasting only one night and all my decorations in place we opted not to have a fire up here.
Just praying that we don't loose our electric during the night and wake up freezing.
Thankful tonight for the blessings of this day and for the love of The Reason for this Season.
God Bless and Good Night.
