WOW !!!!! SNOW AND MORE SNOW !!!

Pings on my cell phone let me know early today that this would be a very different Friday. Schools were closed and the snow was starting to fall.
When I went out to do the chores the ground was turning quickly white.

I came inside and had my breakfast then worked on inside projects while we watched the snow pour down at 1 inch per hour for most of the day.
Down at #1 son's house d-in-love and g-daughter RL made cinnamon rolls .

The best part is getting to eat them !!!!
Over at daughter's house IR got her first taste of snow !!!

At #2 son's house he and Tif got sent home from work to enjoy probably the last snow at this house.

I watched the snow flowers spring to life in early December this year for the first time in many years.
The roads became pretty treacherous this afternoon with the snow falling faster than road crews could scrape it off.
When we went back outside this evening to get the chores done the snow was about 8 inches deep and very slick to walk in but beautiful as darkness fell.

Hubbie and I walked down to #1 son's house tonight to share in the crock pot full of chicken taco soup d-in-love had made. It was very good and hit the spot on a cold snowy night. We also made the first snow cream of the year and g-son enjoyed it very much.
As hubbie and I walked back to our house through the now 10 inch deep snow, and it is still snowing, the beauty of this snow is really something to behold as it has stuck to all the tree branches.
But while we marvel at he beauty we also pray that our power stays on as thousands of folks are in the dark tonight from heavy laden trees and limbs that have brought down power lines.
It is a good night to sit by the fire and enjoy the season, just ask Bernie !!!
And IR ..............
Thankful that we still have our electric tonight and praying for the safety of those workers who braved the elements all day today to keep the roads cleared and get the power back on .
Feeling sorry for all the weather forecasters that totally got this storm wrong and now keep adjusting the totals upward for amounts . It is still snowing here and we already have more than 10 inches on the ground and it is supposed to snow all night now with maybe another 3-8 inches , wow !!!! That surely is a lot different than the amount that was predicted for our area last night.

Thanking God for the blessing of a wonderful day filled with many blessings.
God Bless and Good Night
